27.10.2023 Workshop “Responsible Gold: Sharing insights, connecting actors and enhancing supply chains”

The Sector Programme “Extractives and Development” of the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR (External link)) invites the gold industry, civil society, academia and development cooperation to the following workshop: “Responsible Gold: Sharing insights, connecting actors and enhancing supply chains”. The workshop is part of the event series “Responsible Gold” and takes place on November 27, 2023 from 11:30am-16:30pm.

What do we mean by responsible gold? How can we enhance responsible supply chains? In the workshop “Responsible Gold: Sharing insights, connecting actors and enhancing supply chains”, we want to exchange views on the different approaches and understandings that underpin our work related to responsible gold sourcing and trading. We want to develop forward-looking ideas on how we can build responsible gold supply chains together.

The workshop features presentations from the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), Solidaridad, Shift Phone and The Precious Metals Impact Forum. The participants will present their perspectives on responsible gold and what activities their organisations are undertaking in this regard.
