The EITI Global Conference will take place on 8–9 October in Brussels, Belgium, under the motto “Transparency for Shared Prosperity”. The GIZ Sector Programme “Extractives and Development” will be represented with a side event on 6 October in Brussels.

On the occasion of the EITI Global Conference 2026, the GIZ side event “Putting Transparency and Accountability into Practice: Technical Cooperation for Shared Prosperity” will bring together voices from the private sector, government and civil society to discuss practical approaches to responsible investment, increased revenues and resilient economies.

Across four sessions, we will explore how transparency can unlock value creation and responsible investment, increase public revenues, strengthen due diligence and anti-corruption measures, and contribute to security of supply and resilient economies.

The event will be interpreted simultaneously into English and French.
